Stratigraphy of the mapping area consists of six stratigraphical units, from old to young, are Andesite Lava Dome, Andesite Lava Flow-Pyroclastic Breccia Unit, Basalt Lava Flow Unit, Pyroclastic Breccia Flow Unit, Laharic Breccia Deposit Unit and Sinter Travertine Deposit Unit. All these units are formed from Pleistocene to Holocene. Geological structure found in the studied area is relatively northwest-southeast reverse dextral fault. Sinter travertine deposits are found in Pancuran 3 and Pancuran 7, Baturraden. In Pancuran 3, travertine has dimension 8 x 3 m and in Pancuran 7, sinter travertine is 110 x 92 m. These sinter travertine deposits formed from hot spring with reservoir temperature about 170° – 195°C. The sinter travertine deposits have some lithofacies, i.e. crystalline crust lithofacies, crystalline crust-shrub, pisolith and micritic lithofacies. The change of lithofacies is because of slope difference where travertines are being deposited. text
