Description
Summary:Radial drilling is new stimulation technique and well-known in the early 1990s. This technique is used to increase the oil rate which perforate laterally deeper to 330 ft and have hole-diameter about 50 mm. Hence, it can increase the oil production if it compare with traditional perforation. This study is purposed to make a correlation of Productivity Index Ratio (PI Ratio), then it can be determined and evaluated radial drilling for production increment, number of lateral section, and length of each lateral section. This correlation is based on several data which produced by numerical simulator to do sensitivity for permeability (20-100 mD), oil viscosity (0.35-3 cp), length of each lateral (40-320 ft), number of lateral section (2-4 laterals), and ratio of vertical permeability and horizontal permeability (0.1-1). Correlation has already been made with 3% error. So, correlation was already made to evaluate and design the radial drilling wells and can be applied to oil field. <br />
