Newspaper is a recyclable material and has a high potential, both environmentally and economically, therefore it is needed to develop a recycle infrastructure of used newspapers in Bandung City to optimize its use. 94% of all newspapers published in Bandung City are sold, and only 6% that are not sold. Only 1% of society of Bandung City that don't have any newspaper, the rest, 99% has it. The amount of newspapers in society reaches the number of 2.915 tons/month. Of all used newspapers, 38% is sold, 37% is stored, 13% is given, 3% is thrown, and the rest, 9% is another. Waste recycle in Indonesia is dominated by informal sectros. Material flow of used nespapers generally is pemulung/tukang loak – lapak – bandar kecil – bandar besar – recycle manufacture. The final destination is recycle manufacture where paper waste is being reprocessed to be raw material. Persentage of used newspapers in recycle performers ranges from 8-13%, with the buying price ranges from Rp. 800,00/kg-Rp.1.000,00/kg, and the selling price ranges from Rp.1.200,00/kg-Rp.1.700,00/kg. text
