Summary: | In this final project will be discussed about a model of a two-disease epidemic in a population that takes the main reference from a paper published by Yuliya N. Kyrychko and Konstantin B. Blyuss. Model analysis is done through the analysis of equilibrium points, which consists of a single disease-free equilibrium point and three equilibrium points that describe the existence of diseases in the population, with dynamic indication of disease sufferers is not equal to zero. The second and third equilibrium point represents that there is only one dominant disease of a two-disease epidemic in the population, while the fourth describes the possibility of a condition which ensures that both diseases can occur together within a population. The stability of these equilibrium points are determined through analysis of the threshold parameter is called the basic reproduction ratio. Moreover the dynamic analysis of equilibrium points are also presented in the form of numerical simulation are given for several values of parameters that are considered important. |
