As a country, Indonesia have a direct boundary with several other country. That boundary are land boundary and marine boundary. Indonesia have direct land boundary with three state, i.e. Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, and Republic Democratic of Timor Leste. Land boundary between Indonesia and Malaysia in Borneo island, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea in Irian Jaya island, and Indonesia and Republic Democratic of Timor Leste in Timor island. To guard the consistency of boundary, need Investigation, Refixation, and Maintenance (IRM) survey. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Inventarisation and identification land boundary RI-RDTL is a part of Investigation, Refixation, and Maintenance (IRM) survey. This survey workable by Indonesia. Investigation worked by BNPP to know the condition and maintenance of boundary marker from RI only, without RDTL. The method in this survey are visit the marker boundary one by one, adopt data from marker condition, fixation markers boundary, documentation, and clearing area. This survey coordinated with Internal Country Minister, External Country Minister, Defence Minister, TNI, Bakosurtanal, and Nusa Tenggara Timur province government. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The product of IRM survey are boundary markers data, boundary markers condition, and boundary territory condition. The data used for monitoring the condition and maintenance of boundary territory.
