Summary: | This Final Project explain about SRTM data, which the data shown in this project where believe as global topography data. Although the SRTM data cover 80% of the land surfaces of the Earth, however the data had many weakness as it’s accurate of the data ranging only about 16 meters and it’s reference height refers to elipsoid. After the data has been released to the public by internet media, the SRTM Data reference height has been changed to the reference height based EGM96 geoid.<p>As the latest Geoid Model EGM2008 has been released as global reference with more higher accuration compared with EGM96, therefore this final project study about how to change SRTM height data from height above EGM96 geoid to height above EGM2008 geoid, then the result would be compared with Geodesy Height Point (TTG) which is the product of Mean Sea Level and Photogrammetry measurement. After the height conversion from height based EGM96 to EGM2008 geoid, it turned out to be insignificant effect because the SRTM data accuration is lower than the EGM96 geoid accuration as well as EGM2008. |
