In the past 40 years the volume of air travel has expanded tenfold and airfreight has grown by a <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> factor of fourteen. The world’s economies have grown three to four times over the same period. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Air transport has been one of the world’s fastest growing economic sectors. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Garuda Indonesia, as Indonesia national carrier airline, wanted to compete the global airline <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> companies in order to be one of the best airlines. There are many global airline competitors that <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> are more advance than Garuda Indonesia. Therefore, financial assessment analysis will be <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> analyzed. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In order to analyze the financial performance, there are several methods that can be considered <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> before making comparison with other global airline companies. The methods are Compound <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Annual Growth Rate based on financial ratios, trend & cross-section analysis, BUMN <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> framework, Moody’s Rating Methodology for Global Airline Passenger Company, and DuPont <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> analysis.
