| Summary: | One of Herbarium Bandungense mission is provide information to the society about biodiversity thourgh the internet web electronic media. To realize the mission, Herbarium Bandungense has built a database of existing plant in West Java, even the database has been applied in the website, which can provide services on plant information to the public using the internet. However, the database is still non-spatial information so that incormations only attributes (textual), without being able to convey information related to spatial (space). With spatial information,the location of the spread and distribution of plants as well as access routes to get the plant samples can be discovered easily and quickly. To solve these problems, a Plant Information System (PIS), based on location using a Content Management System (CMS) is builted. By using CMS, the PIS is based on that location can be built easily, quickly, and user friendly. However, it still can accommodate the needs of these Bandungense Herbarium. |
