Summary: | Indonesia is an archipelagic country which has a larger sea area compare to land. To maintain the integrity and sovereignty of The Republic of Indonesia, there needs to be distinct establishments regarding Indonesia's territorial borders, especially its sea boundaries. Indonesia has several maritime boundaries yet to be agreed upon with neighboring countries. An example of Indonesia's maritime boundaries case yet to reach an agreement is the case of The Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) boundaries between Indonesia and Malaysia in The Moluccan Strait. In this research, the EEZ boundaries between Indonesian and Malaysia in the Moluccan strait is determined using a combination of the equidistant principle and the proportionality principle based on the implementation of UNCLOS 1982. The result of this combination is six datas on sea boundaries of which will be utilized using a numeric method to determine Indonesia’s EEZ boundaries, The result of this research is a map of the EEZ boundaries between Indonesia and Malaysia in the Molluccan strait. |
