The quake was recorded with the power of 7.7 Mw (BMG, 2006). The quake epicenter is located is located 200 km from the nearest land. The earthquake produces a post-earthquake movement known as postseismic phase, which postseismic itself is one of the earthquake cycle. By studying the earthquake cycle, there is a hope to know an earthquake recurrence period. By looking at the phase after the earthquake (postseismic) is expected to predict earthquake recurrence in the future, and therefore provide an evaluation of earthquake potential in the future as efforts in disaster mitigation presentation. One way to study the earthquake cycle is by GPS survey methods. GPS survey was conducted to observe the GPS observation points around Pangandaran. On 23-30 July 2006, the first period of GPS survey carried out by making observations in 24 points of observation. In the second period on the 9-14 August 2007, was observed 24 points of observation. And in the third period on 1-5 August 2008, was observed 23 points. The GPS survey method uses a differential method with network mode. The results and analysis indicate that the observation points around Pangandaran have a decreasing deformation of the year 2006-2007 to the years 2007-2008, meaning that the postseismic is getting weaker. Movement of the shift toward the south, similar to the coseismic stages. text
