Delimitation of the Exclusive Economic Zone Indonesia-Malaysia based on three aspects. The first aspect is based on using the archipelagic straight baseline from Government Regulation No. 38 In 2002 and it’s revision of Government Regulation No. 37 In 2008, and Malaysia using the straight baseline results from the identification of Malaysian Map 1979. The second aspect based on using the main island from the two countries in the placement of base point. The last aspect is to put that base points on the outermost small islands of the two countries. In determination of the Exclusive Economic Zone boundary Indonesia-Malaysia was used equidistance and proportionality as a principle to achieve an equitable solution.<p>Malaysia has using a Malaysian Map 1979 as the basis in determining the limits of the sea waters in the Celebes Sea area. Identification from Malaysian Map 1979 resulted in some problems as : unclear information about the geodetic datum that used on the Malaysian Map 1979; determining the starting point to withdrawal line maritime boundary; straight base lines that used by the Malaysian. This final project was analyzed about that problems based on the rule from UNCLOS (United Nation Convention on the Law Of the Sea) 1982 so it could be obtained an optimal alternatives of Exclusive Economic Zone boundary in Celebes Sea.
