| Summary: | There are indications that shipwreck in Indonesian waters often occurred due to lack of ship navigation systems. Aspects of safety in the shipping world is still not adequate, visible from the high number of accidents at sea, mostly caused by neglect of safety factors. This problem can be reduced by enhancing the ship navigation system.<p>In this research, digitizing method is used to produce digital maps. Data flow diagram and user interface of the navigation software will be created. After that, a simulation process will be shown in order to enhance the navigation system and shows how this software works.<p>The results of this research is a software that works to provide navigation information, combined with a digital map of Bangka Belitung waters. Implementation of information systems is expected to support the navigation system of the ship for cruising lines to identify and provide information on areas that are dangerous to sail so as to minimize shipping accidents which often occurred in Indonesian waters. |
