Infrastructure has a very important role in the economic development of Indonesia. One of the <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ancillaries of Infrastructure is the presence of construction industry. Thus that, national <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> construction industry is required to have capacity, qualification, and specialization of <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Construction Company. Many Indonesian construction companies are faced with distance gap <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> in capital funds and technology when compared with global construction company. In fact, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> some of the local firms may not be able to survive and sustain its business during the <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> economic crisis. Therefore, there is a strong need to evaluate how the Indonesian firms <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> especially construction company have managed its financial performance over the past few <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> years. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In Indonesia, State Owned Construction Company has dominated most structure of the <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> national construction industry..Then, how is the participation of PT. Hutama karya as one of <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> State Owned Constructions Companies in the infrastructure development of Indonesia? How <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> the financial performance of PT. Hutama Karya compare to other local State Owned <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Construction Company? How the financial performance of PT. Hutama Karya compare to <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> other Global Construction Company? To assess the financial performance, the author uses <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> five methods: Compound Annual Growth Rate, Ratios for Construction Industry, BUMN <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Scoring Method, Moody’s Global Construction Measurement, and DuPont Analysis.
