Summary: | Indonesia as a coastal state has the sovereignty over its marine section. The national water of Indonesia consists of territorial sea, internal waters, and archipelagic ones. These marine regions of Indonesia need the existence of marine cadastre policies for managing sea parcels just like the land cadastre managing the land parcels. Identification of rights, responsibilities, and restrictions regarding marine cadastre objects in the relation to marine regions of Indonesia is one thing that needs to be done to support the good marine cadastre in Indonesia. This identification of rights, responsibilities, and restrictions involved the marine cadastre objects which are oil, gas, and mineral resources, fishery, biodiversity, shipping, conservation, undersea treasure, custom culture, submarine pipelines and cables, coastal area, and sea tourism. The outcome of this Final Project shows that the concept of land cadastre could be applied to sea parcels and be implemented in three dimensions. In legal aspect, Indonesia has already carry the proper International Law of The Sea, and in institutional aspect, there’s still a need to mend the marine cadastre institution. |
