Summary: | Well trajectory optimization is analyzed to achieve a well trajectory which result not only a small torque and drag, but also achieve all geological targets. Drillstring design optimization is analyzed based on four parameters, these are torque load, slack off load, pick up load, and buckling load. Casing running operation can be done by three alternative methods, these are conventional method, casing floatation method, and partial floatation method. Hydraulic design is analyzed to achieve a required minimum rate to lift cuttings by considering well inclination, RPM, and mud density. By using data from field X, 4 directional drilling scenarios which have a different horizontal displacement from each other are created. These scenarios are completed with torque, drag, and hydraulic analysis to conclude drillstring configuration, casing running method, and required minimum rate for each scenarios. In the end of this feasibility study, a minimum rig specification is given for each scenarios which include minimum hookload, minimum drawwork, and minimum pump power. |
