Description
Summary:Electric loads in electric power distribution system always increase in the term of natural growth with different load growth rates for each node in the network. Those loads are also located in the scattered locations in a service area. Considering the electric load’s characteristics as described above, an appropriate method for electric power distribution planning is needed to ensure service or supply to the loads with good network’s performances till the end of the time horizon. This final project deals with a method for medium voltage electric power distribution planning including distribution substation siting, feeders routing, and optimum conductor sizing. This final project also deals with N-1 contingency analysis for the electrical distribution line. The planning process must meet the requirements such as thermal load limit and maximum voltage drop in the peak load condition constraint. The electric power distribution planning method will be applied to a case study of medium voltage electric power planning. It is a middle term planning

using 5 years time horizon with 57 buses data.
