Summary:Coordination compounds of copper(II) with 2,2\\\' Dipyridyl (dipy), 2,2\\\' Dipyridyl amine ( dipyam), Di-2-pyridyl ketone (dipyk) and 2-pyrazol-3-yl-pyridyl (3pp) have been synthesized stoichiometrically. Most of the compounds are bis-ligand except [Cu(dipy)3] ( C1O4)2 H2O and [Cu(3pp)3](CLO4)2. Generally the compounds have coordination number of 4 and 6. The coordination number 5 is obtained by [Cu(dipyam)2 NO3](NO3) and [Cu( 3pp)2NO3](NO3). The bis-compounds of Di-2-pirydin ketone copper(II) show tetragonally distorted octahedral molecular structures, due to Jahn-Teller effect of copper(H) complexes. The formula of each complex compounds have been obtained from the data of metal, crystal water and C, H, N contents and have been completed by the data of conductivity measurement in N,N-Dimethyl Formamid solvent. The magnetic susceptibility properties, infrared spectra, ultra violet-visible spectroscopy and X-ray difraction data also been observed in order to support the truth of the molecular formulae which be obtained .
