The coastline has a very important role for a country, especially an archipelago country such as Indonesia. From the coastline information boundaries, we can determine whether the territorial boundaries and administrative boundaries of an area. The information on the coastline is also used for spatial management of coastal area and the utilization of potential resources of the area. The coastline is ameeting line between land and ocean. There are three types of coastline that can pull from the existing sea-level positions. They are high-water coastline, mean sea level coastline and low-water coastline. Information on this coastline can be obtained from topographic maps or RBI Maps. Tidal observation data within a certain timeframe is necessary for the determination of the coastline. Tidal observation data is analyzed using tidal harmonic analysis then its value is used for determining the height value of the vertical datum. For the purposes of this final assignment research the coastline which used is the coastline which refers to the low water or chart datum.
