Description
Summary:Palu-Koro Fault is one of the active fault that is located in the east of Indonesia. Due to this fault activities, the earthquake is predicted to happen in Palu. Based on that, continous monitoring of Palu-Koro fault is needed as an earthquake disaster mitigation to reduce the impact such as deceased and also infrastructure damages.
Dual Pass DInSAR is one of the technology that can be used to monitor fault activity. Dual Pass DInSAR uses two SAR image to form Interferogram. The Interferogram image is then combined with the DEM (Digital Elevation Model) data to eliminate the effect of topography in the final interferogram and generate displacement map.
In this final assignment, GAMMA software is used for processing the data. Based on this result, deformation of Palu-Koro Fault is detected because an earthquake that is happened in 2 March 2009, although the deformation signal is not so clear. It is happened because arious errors such as DEM error, atmosphere effects, and geometry decorelation are still remain in DInSAR image.
