Summary:Every day the human population is growing rapidly, while the surface is not increased. Humans are no longer conduct their activities in the mainland only, but has begun to develop into the territorial sea. It is influenced because of the limited area on land.<p>Indonesia as a maritime country has an area of waters both as two-thirds of the total surface area available. To see the breadth of the territorial waters of Indonesia, which can be used both space and exploitation of its resources. Therefore, in order to create order in the Administration, the marine cadastre concept is analogous to the cadastre of land should be applied. The aim is to assess the implementation of the marine cadastre in terms of legal aspects, technical and institutional.<p>The final results of this study indicate that application of marine cadastre in Indonesia has been applied in marine areas of Indonesia. By law, the existing legislation governing all activities in Indonesia, that had been adobted from the international law of the sea. While institutionally, there is no institution that has the main tasks and functions in the implementation of marine cadastre.
