Information technology has been improved rapidly become more advance, powerful and reliable but user friendly. It has been use by many organizations and institutions to improve efficiencies and it was supported by the fact that information technology is easy to find and access. Organizations are suggested to eliminate the failure on information technology investment with detail plan that consist all element around the organization.
The way of determining information system form able to fulfill requirement of business and aligning with organizational business growth is to develop an enterprise architecture. Enterprise architecture defines a process for organizing and directing information system development plan, what consist of data architecture, application architecture and technology architecture to obtain management commitments and support in integrated information system developmentt implementation.

Methodology being used in modeling this architecture is Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP). EAP defines a process for enterprise architects that emphasize interpersonal skills and techniques for organizing and directing enterprise architecture project, obtaining management commitment, presenting the plan to management and leading the organization through the transition from planning to implementation. Research place taken as case study is UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.

Basically EAP non designing business and its architecture, but defining business requirement and its architecture. In EAP, architecture explain to data, technology and application required to support organizational business.

The organization of EAP is shown in the Components layer figure. Each layers block represent a phase of the process that focuses on how to define the associated architectures and development plans.

The result of enterprise architecture planning is blueprint for the architecture of data and technology and also plan its implementation. Blueprint provide multiple view, each expressing its own level of detail. Enterprise architecture diagrams the blueprints for all of the people within an organization so they knew how to build the enterprise. The enterprise architecture blueprint is meant to provide level of detail of adequate in applying the idea of develop system.

The enterprise data architecture is the product of the data architecture phase of Enterprise Architecture Planning. It defines the major kind of data, called entities used by bussiness environment.

The application defines the application required to support the business function and manage the information within our business environment. The application architecture is not specification for a particular application.

The technology architecture defines the main technology required to provide the application environment as data manage.

Making of enterprise architecture model UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in this thesis limited by academic areas. Main functional area based on value chain comprise of admissions of new students, lecture, and releasing as primary activities. The support activities that is financial management and human resources management. An UIN Sunan Kalijagas EAP for this academic function do not focused to tecnical implementation or designed.

Business modeling phase is a process which create business model as representative form that defined business comprise of business function performed by enterprise. Business model used as a basis in defining three architectures and making implementation plan. Result of modelling business function in UIN Sunan Kalijaga that is defined counted 53 detail business function. Data architecture get 35 data entities candidate and relationship among others. Application architecture obtained by 28 application candidate. While technological architecture yield conceptual network architecture and enterprise business system architecture.

Final EAP phase is to create implementation plan which is prepared for the implementation of three IT blueprints mentioned above based on business model and architecture blueprints which have been defined. Implementation plan includes application development sequence, effort and time estimation also critical success factors for implementeing that plan.
