Description
Summary:GRACE satellites can be used to observe monthly changes in the gravity field in Greenland. One of the gravity field parameters is geoid undulation. Data from GRACE gravity mission must be processed with appropriate algorithm. In this case, the geoid undulation is calculated based on the global geopotential coefficient. Gentlycut filter is applied to reduce the ring waves effect. The temporal variation of geoid undulation changes in Greenland show a declining trend in the period (2004 - 2009). This corresponds to the rise of topography level indicated by GPS observation. This phenomenon is strongly suspected as a result of mass reduction of ice caps in Greenland related to global warming.
