Description
Summary:Republic of Indonesia is the world’s largest archipalegic nation with a vast sea of approximately 3,1 million km2 or about twice of the land area. With this conditon, can be said that Indonesia has an enormous maritime resources. However, in reality those maritime resources can not be fully utilized by the fishing communities due to lack of knowledge about potential fishing zone. Therefore, much time they spend just to ‘seek’ not to ‘catch’ the fish. This final project includes creating an information system model in a form of a potential fishing zone maps that are equipped with an information table about fishing activities and analyzing the information system that has been applied at PPP Cilauteureun so it can optimizes the potential fishing zones and increases the incomes of the fishermen.
