| Summary: | Indonesia is an archipelagic country with the length of coastline up to 95,181 kilometers. Considering the enormous length, coast area has become a potential asset to be developed for the sake of the people, especially for the people living in the coast area. Map is one of the most essential requirement to develop an area. In order to develop coastal area, the map must provide specific information about the coast and marine area, especialy about the depth, category of the coast (sandy, muddy, rocky), and other basic information about navigation and administration area in coastal region. In this modern era, a map is developed in the spatial database format. In the developing of coastal area, firstly, the database is developed, then we do the cartographic process is carried out for the need of visualization and printing. The final result expected is standardized Coastal Area Map (LPI) in database format. |
