Summary: | This research is intended to make a procedur of tidal prediction for critical time (nowcasting), or it also means tidal prediction for the next few hours, in order to rescue the emergency situation. This research compare the best accuracy and efficient process to get the optimum result. This research case of study is in Delta Mahakam. Tidal observation data is obtained from three tidal stations (i.e. CPU, Handil, NPU). The data is assumed as a tidal data without its non-tidal data. Error from the tidal observation data is rated by variance, root-mean-square (RMS), and mean relative error (ē). Comparison of the accuration between these tidal observation data is based on the used of tidal continents, nowcasting range, and the first data length. The result is all of the tidal continents used for the best nowcasting from 15 days back starting data with different range of nowcasting in each places using T_TIDE program. The best nowcasting range in CPU is half days, while the best nowcasting range in Handil and NPU are quarter days. |
