Summary:As the production of oil decrease, methods for artificial lift and enhancing oil recovery are needed. Field X is an old field that produced its reservoir fluids with the help of sucker rod pumps and water flooding. Its low producing rate is very interesting to be enhanced. This paper is purposed to discuss about the right method to enhance oil recovery on this field. Optimization methods that will be discussed are water flooding, polymer injection, and sucker rod pump optimization. To optimize the water flooding method, the relationships between how long the water floods takes time per day and how much rates is injected to the reservoir, with the increase of production rate is being studied. Beside that, we also try to optimize the polymer injection method. The tool that is being used in this study is reservoir simulator that is connected to the surface facilities simulator. The sucker rod pump in this field, seems not to work efficiently causing a low production rate. So, it needs to be identificate what is seems to be the problem. The writer will also optimize the sucker rod pump used in this field. The results of this study shows that the production rates will increase significantly if the sucker rod pump is being optimized. Thus, the optimization of the sucker rod pumps is the best method applied for this field.
