Description
Summary:The job of an offshore engineering, ex : tinstallation of subsea pipelines is an activity that undertaken to fulfill the needs of the distribution of oil and gas exploration. This activity requires many detailed informations that have implications for the involvement of many technological data. Early stage of this subsea pipeline installation activities is pre-engineering route survey hat aims to produce an image of the seabed topography of the area that will be installed pipe. This pre-installation survey was carried out to the east of Borneo precisely around the Mahakam delta. Survey activities carried out by using QINSy 8.0 software either when the initial planning of the survey, when the survey took place, until the data processing to produce the final image of the tseabed opography. The main data that used in this survey is the depth of data obtained from Multibeam echosounder (MBES) where the processed data is the data that has been acquisitioned withdata from Singlebeam echosounder, Motion Reference Unit, Sound Velocity, and also the tide data. Data obtained after completion of the survey was collected in a folder that automatically created by QINSy 8.0. The end result of this data processing is a clear image of the topography of the seabed area which is planned to be installed subsea pipeline. The next thing to do is analyze the underwater surface to determine the natural hazards, both naturally occurring and man-made such as shipwrecks and existing pipes and cables routes that can harm subsea pipeline installation process.
