| Summary: | Coastline is an important component for an area located in the island nation, such as Indonesia. The coastline has a function as land and sea boundaries, administrative boundaries, to demand the establishment of sea boundaries, and being consideration in making the government policies such as coastal zone management, natural resources of coastal areas, etc. Coastline changes greatly affect these policies. Indonesia uses the coastline from RBI Map which is the result of current sea level digitization, so the coastline needs to be updated. In this thesis, the writer created the high water level models that can represent the position of the coastline in accordance with desired water level. The result shows that horizontal difference between coastline from RBI Map with coastline from high water level models is quietly large, so the coastline on the RBI Map can not be used as a reference coastline in Indonesia continuously. |
