More and more studies have proved that the level of danger from air pollution indoors can be higher than outdoor air pollution. One factor that may increase air pollution in a house is intrusion from outside the home, for example from transport emissions. Nitrogen oxides (NOx) is one of the important pollutants from transportation activities. Therefore, this study aims to measure the concentration of NOx in the form of NO2 in the house and see its relation with asthma. NO2 in the home can be sourced from outside the home, can also be sourced from within the home such as gas flaring in the kitchen and tobacco smoke. From several studies found that NO2 has a significant relationship to asthma. In this case study is conducted NO2 measurements using passive sampler mounted on the living room, bedroom, and kitchens in 100 homes with 70 homes asthmatic and 30 non-asthma (control). Also done interviews related activities and sources of NO2 occupants in the house which was then analyzed.
