Summary:The correlation of population and landuse/landcover data is required to view the distribution of population in some areas. While from the existing statistical population data, population data was presented by administrative areas in homogenously. Therefore need a model of spatial population distribution according to landuse/landcover data that can be used for various purposes. Multiscale grid system can be used for the storange data of population distribution data. Resolution of grid scale system that used in this research is 5” x 5” (0.155 x 0.155 km) with the areas of research is in Bandung. To build a model of population distribution in Bandung can be done with merging requtred data, i.e landuse/landcover data, administrative boundary data, and statistical population data in Bandung. to get the information of population distribution in each grid cell is have been made with approaches mathematical modeling to acquiring density population value for each class of landuse for each distric by including the land-class weight parameters. From the value of those mathematical modeling, can be obtained the population density value and then it can be visualize in gradual and spatial map that allows users to obtain information on the population distribution of Bandung area.
