These islands are islands that border directly with neighboring countries and seas. Therefore, its need complete data on these islands so that the identity of the islands becomes clear. With clear information, can be claimed the islands including Indonesia's sovereignty territory and can be used for drawing archipelagic straight baseline in determining the borders of Indonesia.<p>92 Outermost small islands data were obtained from various sources, such as Janhidros TNI AL and LAPAN. Studies about the profile and toponyms of Outermost small Islands were conducted on various data those obtained. Toponym of the outermost small islands of Indonesia are one of the activities in providing the identity of an island that will be compiled in a Gazetteer (A list of raw topographical names that arranged alphabetically and provides information on the generic name in the local language, geographical position, and locations in the administration area) and conducted by the National Team for Standardization of Topographic Name consisting of various government institutions, such as the Ministry of Interior, Bakosurtanal, etc.<p>There are still some things that still must be considered after the analysis of 92 Indonesia Outermost small islands were conducted, including the differences between the definitions of the island and sandbar, the use of foreign names in the naming of the island, use the generic name of a local in the specific name of the island, and the condition of the islands themselves. <br /> text
