| Summary: | Formation damage is the one problem that always exist in the production process, the problem concerning the economy and operational process. Formation damage can result in well pressure drop rapidly, and reduce the recover. Formation Damage can occur due to the process of drilling, completion and production. Many factors can cause formation damage, such factors as physical, chemical, biological, and thermal hydrodinamic. Indication of formation damage is the decrease in permeability wells resulting in reduced performance of the wells.<p>Drill stem test to determine the value of reservoir properties such as permeability, reservoir type, skin etc. With stimulation to repair damaged zones, one stimulation methods described in this paper is acid fracturing, which is expected to repair the damaged zone. By injecting acid that reacts with presented rocks in the area that leads to increased permeability, however if the stimulation is performed on naturally fractured wells it will have no effect and will be equal to ordinary homogeneous wells, and as far as whether the improvements can be generated by the stimulation of naturally fractured wells. |
