Summary: | Coastline is a meeting line between sea and land. Due to dynamical condition of the sea the coastline can be fickle for a certain time. Therefore, a clear determination of the coastline is very necessary. To determine the coastline there are several references such as Mean Sea Level, Low Water Level and High Water Level. For this final task, Mean Sea Level was used as a reference for the determination of the coastline of Pangandaran beach, Ciamis, West Java as a case area with a source data from Cilacap beach, Central Java. Mean Sea Level obtained from tidal observations for a certain time. Oftidal observations can also done to obtain variation value of Mean Sea Level. Mean Sea Level can be obtained by calculating average value of the tidal and the variations calculated by finding the difference between the highest value of the Mean Sea Level Mean Sea Level and the lowest one in a certain period of time. <br />

The results of data processing performed for this final assignment are the Mean Sea Level variations of the beach in Cilacap and Pangandaran and a topographic map of Pangandaran Beach which reference to the Mean Sea Level. From both these results could be obtained to analyze the sea-level and type of Pangandaran beach. <br />
