Therefore, the development of precise and accurate methods for determination of paracetamol is necessary. In this study, a chronoamperometric technique using biosensor has been developed to determine paracetamol. Carbon paste electrode modified with avocado or banana tissue as the source of polyphenol oxidase is used as biosensor. Polyphenol oxidase <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> enzyme is used to catalyze oxidation of paracetamol into N-acetyl-p-benzoquinoneimine. This product is reduced at certain potential using chronoamperometric technique for quantitative analysis. The calibration curve of paracetamol standards is highly linear in the concentration range of 3,97x10(-4)–4,12x10(-3)M. Determination of percent recovery shows that the developed method has good accuracy for paracetamol analysis. text
