It is a proven, still the number of ships that ran aground, when navigating the river. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> On the river that is affected by tidal forces, chart datum is determined by tidal observations made at the mouth directly adjacent to the sea, and the chart datum transformation to the area behind the river estuary. The data used in this study is secondary data. Secondary data consists of tidal observation data for 15 days at the observation station Desa Bual-Bual and Desa Sempayau, and the depth of the stream of data obtained from the bathymetric survey. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The results obtained in this study, are the chart datum in the Desa Bual-Bual at 1.54 meters below mean water level, and the chart datum in the Desa Sempayau, at 2.1 meters below mean water level. Apparently, there are differences in the value chart datum obtained between the river mouth, and the back of the mouth. There are two important factors that determine the value of chart datum in tidal rivers, namely the rising tide of factors from the sea, and the factors on the flow of the river discharge. text |
