Still fresh in our memory when a huge tsunami that struck Aceh in 2004 which claimed hundreds of thousands casualties, not even two years later on July 17, 2006 Pangandaran coast hit by an earthquake measuring 6.8 Richter that caused the tsunami around the coast south of Java Island. For that we need a disaster mitigation efforts by conducting an analysis of tsunami hazard zonation. In this research will be made an analysis of the tsunami hazard areas with satellite data and GIS so that one day if a tsunami is back to the effects of the tsunami can be mitigated in order to reduce losses caused by the tsunami. |
