Summary: | Coating is a mixture of two or more metal at the interfacial surface of both components to get a better properties like its physical, mechanical, electrical and visual performance. Tin coating is commonly used in industries as a finishing step or base layer for the next step processes. Tin coating process can be used for other applications such as tin coated coin in order to protect the coin from the corrosion and have a shiny colour in its surface. In this research, the fabrication of aluminum-tin alloys has been carried out by hot dip galvanizing techniques. Hot dip galvanizing coating process performed by dipping the base metal into the molten metal solution. Base metal used is aluminum and the molten metal used is tin. Modification of metal alloys is expected to be a base material for low coin production. |
