Summary:A 100 L water heater that used power input from air conditioner’s exhaust heat has been designed, made, and tested. The air conditioner that has been used has 9000 <br /> <br /> <br /> BTU/h capacity. Water heating is using 0.375 in diametre and 15 m total length copper coil that took place between compressor and condenser. The water inside the storage <br /> <br /> <br /> tank is increasing its temperature from 24 oC to 60 oC after 2 hours 43 minutes. The condenser must be used to maintain the air conditioner still work, although the water <br /> <br /> <br /> temperature almost same as refrigerant temperature. The real benefit is the water heating won’t need extra cost to operate it as long as the air conditioner work. National <br /> <br /> <br /> saving energy potential is big because this equipment is easy to be made and quite cheap compare to air conditioner cost.
