Description
Summary:The increasing demand for energy sources, the decline in world oil production, and production costs that is getting higher, led to the rising of prices for crude oil and natural gas world. Indonesia as one that has largest natural gas reserves in the world requires the infrastructures and facilities to be able to exploit

existing potential so they can meet the domestic energy needs to support economic growth. The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility to develop onshore and offshore gas pipeline transportation systems and to propose alternative solutions that can be implemented. The author focuses on the study using technical parameters such as the determination of the diameter of the pipe, the calculation of wall thickness of the pipe, the compressor (booster) station, and economic parameters that affect the development of the plans for gas pipeline transportation

system. Through the scoring matrix was found that pipeline systems with NPS conduit 10 on fourth alternative routes has the highest value which is 4.22. This alternative route is the optimal choice due to system operation and maintenance costs are low and easy, also the tariff cost is low because of the absence of an additional compressor station and the shortest route with a distance of 58.639 km. Economic parameters for pipes with a size of 10 inch schedule 40 with X52 material on the fourth alternatives is the cost of investment: Rp. 311.59 billion, operating cost: Rp. 7.67 billion, maintenance cost: Rp. 5.05 billion and tariff costs: Rp. 7.076, - ($ 0795).
