Casing pump which is located at PT. Tambang Timah has limited (maximum of 300 hours). In general, life time of the casing pump 80-150 hours. The cause of the limited life time of the casing pump due to the damage. The damage caused by the contact between the flowing fluid with casing pump which has less good material mechanical properties (hardness). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The study was conducted to determine the damage to the casing pump used (Hasenda, RMS and PT. Timah Industri casing pump), also looking for solutions to get longer casing pump life time compare with the earlier casing pump. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Using the result of this study, PT. Timah Industri has ability to make casing pump is more qualified than current production. With good control during the process and addition of manganese, chromium and copper, the production of PT. Timah Industri has a quality casing pump that generates hardness 393,3HB (up 66,9%), life time 446 hours (146 hours longer than the casing pump the longest ever) and with price increment into Rp. 1.811.211 (up 6% from the previous price).
