Summary:Performance improvement of communication systems is very important to fullfill the needs of telecommunication services that grow up continously. Mobile WiMAX is a wireless communication technology that can work as cellular system that can be choosen to fullfill the needs of telecommunication services nowdays and later. <br /> <br /> <br /> HAPS (High Altitude Platform Station) is one of communication platform that located at 17–22 km altitude at stratospheric zone, continously developed and has been standardized by ITU as a platform for cellular-based telecommunication system. HAPS was prepared as continuation from nowdays telecommunication system generation because has advantages compared with terrestrial or satelite system. <br /> <br /> <br /> In this final task, will be studied for optimasize performance of Mobile WiMAX based-on MIMO-OFDM with ZF (Zero-Forcing) qualizer at HAPS communication system. The design of MIMO-OFDM is one of effort for improving WiMAX Mobile perfomance at HAPS communication system. Performance parameters will be compared namely BER (Bit Error Rate) in <br /> <br /> <br /> condition MIMO-OFDM with ZF equalizer. Performance improvement because of ZF equalizer implementation will be studied in several tipe of MIMO for instance Receive Diversity, Alamouti STBC (Space Time Block Code), Non- <br /> <br /> <br /> Orthogonal STBC and Quasi-Orthogonal STBC From study result, the improvement of MIMO-OFDM with ZF equalizer <br /> <br /> <br /> occurred for higher diversity order of MIMO-OFDM. The studying of MIMO capacity in ergodic and outage mode will be done in this final task as comparation types of MIMO-OFDM as well.
