Port Effectiveness related to the resistance which is produced by the port itself. <br /> <br /> <br /> Decreasing resistance of port, will increase air flow which is inducted into the system. Therefore, probability of complete combustion increases. Automaticaly, it will affect power and emission that produced by internal combustion engine. In order to optimalisize induction system of internal combustion engine, it is needed a bench for testing effectiveness of induction system in internal combustion engine. Design process is started with study from literature, then making schema of design. After the dimension of all components had been added, testing is done. Cylinder head of Honda Tiger, standard and ported is used as cylinder test. <br /> <br /> <br /> In this final project, there are two design i.e the first design and modificated design. From the first testing, using first design, it can be seen the characteristic of disharge coefficient of both cylinder. In spite of that, the differents between both of them are small and it can’t be seen with the first design. So that, modification is done toward first design. Orificemeter is added, in order to measure directly the airflow. This modification is success to compare the discharge coefficient of both cylinder head. It can be seen from the result (using modificated design) that losses of ported cylinder less than standard actualy at Lv/D > 0,2. text
