In this research, Diesel engine Kromhout was taken as an object which is reversed. Only main parts of crankshaft drive mechanism is involved. By this modeling, the nominal size of each parts will be achieved. These following stages are including in the modelling proces: information searching, parts model, assembly model, and analysis of assembly model. Information searching includes function identification, part identification, and main feature identification. According to this identification, measurement activity could be done by using some suitable instrument. The measurement methods is used in this work, namely conventional, coordinate by CMM, and 3D scanning. Modeling runs with using Computer Aided Design especially wity PRO/Eng Wildfire 4.0, it provide some feature that can be used to create a parts model, to assemble parts, and to analyse assembly model. In the result of assembly model was found some interferences and collision, so that it is needed to apply analysis of assembly. By these analysis the assembly model will be free of interference and collision. Finnally, the assembly model will be ready to draw as a technical drawing. text
