Until now PT. INTI aims to become a trusted partner in providing professional services and total solutions that focus on the Infocom System and Technology Integration (ISTI). PT. INTI has six businesses portfolio with business conditions vary. Development of business portfolio is a long term investment activity that requires large investment funds. Business issues faced by PT. INTI are the declining contribution margin and the lower market <br /> <br /> <br /> share explains PT. INTI can't manage business portfolio. The root of problem is the entry barrier of new entrants, bargaining power of supplier, bargaining power of buyer, rivalry among existing firms. The root of problems can be solved by formulating portfolio strategy using GE business screen. Another solution is parenting strategy by focusing on the core competencies of PT. INTI and on the value created between PT. INTI's skills and resources and the business need of business portfolio. The result for parenting strategy is which one of business portfolio PT. INTI that should divest, ownership, or maintain by subsidiary. Implementation plan for portfolio strategy include market development, market penetration, backward, product development, and etc. Implementation plan for parenting strategy is maintain system integrator, product genuine, maintenance or managed service, and IT – capex to opex. While reutilize manufacturing and IT Content is maintained by subsidiary. text |
