XYZ Logistics is a company providing solutions of warehouse, distribution, and inventory management based on service assorted customer. PT. XYZ Logistics tries to increase and improve operational performance more effectively and efficiently by doing evaluation of performance indicators at areas of warehouse and transportation. In this final project, the evaluation of performance indicators of warehouse is to increase productivity warehouse which has reached target 0.70 but still being felt unsatisfying by the warehouse manager and the company. In addition, the evaluation of performance indicators of Delivery In Full On Time and On Time Delivery which still have not reached target that is 98% and 95% respectively.<p>Alternative business solution for performance indicators of Delivery In Full On Time and On Time Delivery is proposed by using Six Sigma approach with its DMAIC methodology, consisting 5 phases, namely define, measure, analyze, improve, and control. At the Define phase, we apply diagrams of IPO (input - process - output) and Pareto. In the Measure phase includes control chart, process capability (Cp and Cpk), identification CTQ (Critical to Quality), and level of Six Sigma. The Analyze phase includes analysis level of Six Sigma, root cause analysis with Current Reality Tree, and analysis impact FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). In the Improve phase, we use Future Reality Tree. In the Control phase, control charts are being used. Based on the calculation, the level of Six Sigma company at the moment resides in between 3-4 sigma.<p>MEPI (Measurement, Evaluation, Planning, and Improvement) cycle is used for solution analysis of warehouse productivity improvement. At the phase planning using PET (Productivity Evaluation Tree) approach, out of three alternatives, one is selected which increases output larger ones along with improvement of input with the biggest productivity index that is 1.38 and big of improvement of productivity 0.68.<p>Some alternatives proposed for repair of performance Delivery In Full On Time and On Time Delivery that is first of briefing and training by doing SOP which is correct, second of communications final is done both parties to can give correct and correct information also system reward and punishment, third IT does setting by adding server and builds new network directly relates to system TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and fourth assures contract between customer with the side of PT. XYZ Logistics in delivery of correct DO (Delivery Order) of time. And some alternatives proposed to increase productivity warehouse includes briefing and training by doing SOP which is correct also system reward and punishment between teams, adding resource as according to the maintenance capacity, customer and the side of company PT. XYZ Logistics asks demand planning and inventory control between both parties, and allocation of fund and rejuvenation of equipment to support and increases productivity warehouse. text |
