In composite science, research of fiber used moving toward natural fibers too. The use of natural fibers such as rami fiber, pineapple fiber, coconut fiber, etc, began to be developed and applied in many structure engineering. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This Final Project was conducted to examine the characteristics of the use of bamboo fiber in composite, especially laminate. Type of bamboo that used is rope bamboo (gigantochloa apus). Bamboo fiber that used is in varies form, there are wooven and single fiber. Matrix that used was epoxy. After this final task is finished, the author hopes that the characteristics of bamboo fiber composite material can be made available. So the use of this material could be further developed on variety of structural engineering applications. text
