The activities related to the ship operation can be seen here. <br /> <br /> <br /> Anchorage, maintenance, and ship’s production are the examples. <br /> <br /> <br /> One of the facility in a port is dock. You’ll be needing this for maintenance and ship’s production. One of its type that is going to be discussed here is marine railway <br /> <br /> <br /> with its modification in the cradle. We are going use to rectangular cradle. <br /> <br /> <br /> This final project will be concentrating in explaining the marinel railway design, starting from selecting the profile of its cradle which is rectangular, the operasional area, and its hauling system consist of electric motor, chain, gear train, etc. The result from the cradle structure designing process will be examined by ANSYS 11. <br /> <br /> <br /> In the end, the safety factor from its cradle design is 1,416. For its gear train the minimum safety factor is 1,05. And the power consumption for electric motor is 132 <br /> <br /> <br /> kW. For the detail explanation about marine railway structure and its other hauling system components, can be seen in the analysis chapter inside this report. text |
