TORSIONAL VIBRATION MEASUREMENTS ON A HELICAL GEAR TESTING DEVICE

Gear is one of machine elements that is widely use in rotating machinery to transmit power. During the process of transmitting power, vibration can occured in gear. Beside translation vibration, vibraton in a gear transmition can also occured in rotational direction that is commonly known as torsion...

The results of measurement of lateral vibration and sound in the second condition showed an increase of vibration level, while the level of torsional vibration in the second condition tend to be lower. text
