Summary: | Educational institutions such as polytechnics generally have a mechanical engineering majors. Majoring in mechanical engineering has assets of production machines used for student practice and production. That requires the management of maintenance activities of existing machines so that teaching and learning activities and the production is not disrupted. In fact, maintenance schedules are not always easily fulfilled because it is not managed well. Currently maintenance is usually done during semester breaks. No standard operation procedure for maintenance and no records of results of maintenance activities. For it is necessary for the management of maintenance activities. <br />

This study tried to create a system of care using maintenance methods based preventive maintenance by developing a care management model that includes a variety of things, such as grouping types of equipment, making standard operation procedure, breakdown of equipment and components, management of maintenance technicians and <br />

maintenance activity monitoring. Maintenance systems used in the development of web-based application as an interface and model appropriate database for data storage. <br />

Applications will be initially created in Mechanics Workshop Department of Mechanical Engineering Polytechnic state of Ujung Pandang to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance activities. The results could be further expanded with the addition and integration with other applications to produce better maintenance system. |
