The experiments were performed by providing feed to chickens with calorie value of 3.300 kcal and 22% protein. For comparison, other protein

sources from meat and fish are also carried out. All the materials are mixed with corn starch. Chicken feeding was carried out for 4 weeks, with amount of weekly feeding set: 1,5 Kg for first week, 3 Kg for second week, 2 Kg for third week, and 4 Kg for fourth week. Water was supplied on a daily basis and available all day long. Temperature was kept between 26 and 28 oC. The results showed that growth rate of chicken feeded by mixed earthworm powder, mixed fish powder, mixed eat powder, and mixed corn starch was 16.71, 14.70, 13.17, and 11,35 g/day/specimen, respectively, with food convert ratio of 0.31, 0.29, 0.27, and 0.25, respectively. Analysis of variance (P < 0.01) showed that no significant difference between specimens feeding with mixed earthworm powder, mixed fish powder, mixed eat powder, and mixed corn starch was observed. text |
